Heres a quick post for Monday…
A picture of our patio furniture, thanks for Mom or MIL. We love it, its a wicker set, that has 4 chairs and a bench as well. There isn’t much to say about this, it was simply a matter of putting it together, here are some pics!

Back in early July, M’s Mom or MIL as E calls her came in to visit for a long weekend. It was great having her and in addition, she helped us jump start our garden, flowers, vegetables and even spices.
We took some pictures back in mid July of our fruit and vegetable plants we put in. Those pictures are below, but notice the sickly looking Avocado tree in one of them. That tree took on a story of its own that will be addressed in this post.
We have planted the following vegetables/spices so far (left to right) : Hot peppers, Basil, Cucumber, Beefsteak tomato, Rosemary and finally green peppers. The Green Peppers are too far to the right in the first picture.

So on Friday night, some new toys were bought for Shea and Peanut, which turned into watching them play with them for a long time, and getting some pretty funny shots. Some were purely off the cuff, others were somewhat posed. Either way, we posted some here, and even made a new YouTube channel!
The new toys were (past tense as they were destroyed in less than 24 hours) a squeaky baseball and a squeaky little orange bear. The baseball was funny for Shea to play with as shes named after Shea Stadium (former NY Mets stadium for those that don’t know).

One of the things we couldn’t stand when we moved in, was the style and condition of the Master bathroom shower stall. We are not fans of gold, and in addition to that, it was scary how dirty it was and the mildew that would stick on the glass. We do eventually want to redo our Master bathroom, but this was an easy fix. We took about… 15 minutes to remove this after procrastinating for months and simply put up a $15 shower curtain rod and shower curtain for the time being.
All we needed on this project was:
- Rubber Mallet
- Utility Knife and Razor (to remove glue)
- Screwdriver
- 2 People!

We needed to make a trip to Miami, and with family in the area, going forward we would want to make a lot of trips and would also like to take both dogs. Currently we don’t have a car that can fit one crate, let alone two crates in the car, so we needed to find a way to travel.
I did some research for a few weeks and talked to some friends and we thought we had a solution. Before I go further, we were not compensated in any way for the products we decided to purchase and use!
We decided to use a “dog car hammock” to protect the seats and then to ensure the dogs are safe, we bought a couple “dog car seats”. After reading a ton of reviews, we went with this Outward Hound car hammock, which seemed to be a graet deal, and a small and a medium Pet Vehicle Harness from Solvit.
Everything installed very quickly as the car seat hammock attached around the front and rear headrests, and had velcro openings for the seatbelts in the back seat. The Vehicle harnesses attached onto the seatbelt (once it was already hooked in as if someone was sitting in it) and then attached to the harnesses with no problem. The harnesses even had extra padding!
As you can see in these pictures, the dogs were perfectly happy with these and they did fine on a couple 4 hour trips!

Yet another project we did a few weeks back that we are just getting around the blogging, is the upstairs room we turned into an office. It is our smallest room, so it makes the most sense to use this as an office. Also, any product spoken about in this post, we have not been compensated in any way by any manufacturer.
Here are a couple before pictures, with random stuff thrown about.

So, some work to do here… Below is a list of what we did to the room:

Simply said in the title right?
We bought these at Ikea a while back and finally mounted them. The red one represents Peanut and her red color and obviously the black one is for Shea. A nice, inexpensive way to hang up the leashes and accessories

So one of the things we have had on our list since moving in, was repainting and changing styles of all the bathrooms. This was easier said than done in our Master Bathroom which needs a lot of work, but in our 1/2 bath downstairs and our upstairs bathroom, we decided to take on the task.
Painting is the easy part, but as seen below, most of the other stuff can get tougher. With our 1/2 bath and full bath upstairs, we had more than just painting we wanted to do, we also wanted to change the towel hangers and toilet paper hangers and obviously redecorate.
